Miss you, Sho-sho

Photobucket

Well, my sister left yesterday, which is a real shame... now who is going to accompany me on endless morning coffees, trek for half an hour to reach a closed pool, or humour me in my rantings about blogging and as-yet-unmade life-changing decisions for this fall? !

My unfinished manuscript is breathing a sigh of relief, meanwhile, that I'll have time to go back to editing it again, and I should be back to being a presence in all your comments sections! And from the point of view of the blog, Shona's not really gone yet... we went a bit nuts on documenting this past week! Until then, I'll leave you with an impromptu photo shoot inspired by some beautiful flowers we bought...

...oh, and Shona... you forgot your abalone ring on the microwave...

  3. I love that second picture! How sad that she's leaving; it looked like you had so much fun while she was there! ( And, gourds are overtaking my entire yard, so one somehow snuck into my picture ;) ).

  8. I've always been so envious of ladies with sisters close in age, mine is just starting first grade.

Having said that, I've never envied goodbyes - I'm sorry you had to say it to your beloved sister! You are both absolutely gorgeous!

  9. I'm totally stating the obvious here, but goodbyes really do stink. From what you've shared in previous posts (& in this one), you two surely made the most of your time together.

Those lilies are gorgeous and I love how your dresses compliment them! Or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, looks great ;)

    Good luck with your manuscript!

Oh, and it is possible to make a decent pot of soup in about half an hour. No horror-filled long waits!
