The area of Guadalajara that I live in is so nice it hurts! My apartment is a classic eyesore, begging the usual question: is it better to live in the ugly building and look out the window at a nice one, or better to live in the nice one and look at the ugly one? Well, there wasn't much choice this time around, since all the nice buildings are great mansions like this one or last week's that were slightly out of my price range! Accordingly I live in a glorified prison, but I love going for walks and pretending otherwise!

I think I decided at this point that it was good to incorporate "movement" into my photos....

Follow the yellow brick road?

Outfit:
blouse: stolen from my mother
shorts: Oysho
belt: my sister's
earrings: some cafe/gallery in Mexico City
shoes: blowfish
sunglasses: Sanborn's

I love your photos-- 8th is my favorite. And living in a ugly house looking out at nice onces.. Made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, by the way. I think that getting a change in scenery would be amazing, but the second I take a leave of absence or a break in my education, all my scholarships go poof.
and I'm so glad you don't have a captcha. :)

There are some really cool places in East London too! A tonne of bars and cafes! Will you miss your homely prison in Guadalajara when you leave? he he xxxx

1. I love that cheeky photo of you sitting in front of the mansion :) Like you own it! ha.
ReplyDelete2. CUTE EARRINGS!
3. What glorious gates in Mexico!
Ha your movement shot is epic! That gate is awesome, as are your birdy earrings! :)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the thought of naming a house. Clover Lawn is a happy little name for a mansion. It sounds real and genuine unlike some that are stuffy/put on for airs.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous smile in the second photo! Your black and white ensemble is so sweet and fun. I really like it. Your ''movement'' and ''follow the yellow brick road'' photos are too funny. Gotta love it when a blog post makes you laugh :)
Soooo beautiful!!! I have mansion envy too now.
ReplyDeleteclothed much, a modest fashion blog
i think you found some pretty amazing backdrops yourself!
ReplyDeletelooking good, looking good. a glorified prison sounds quite exciting haha.
ReplyDeleteoh and about london - i lived out east. its the best place to be. Clapton, Hackney to be exact. all the great vintage stores and markets are in east london. and there are some amazing parks as well like victoria and london fields. i am so so envious :) when do you move?
Lovely pictures and so fun. I adore the second picture because you look so happy there. I like your outfit too. The floral shorts are very nice and look good with the white top.
ReplyDeletegreat photos! I think it's better to live in an ugly one, haha ;)
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say thank you for your comment and advice on my blog a few posts back. I feel like you understand and I really appreciate your perspective on my situation.
