While I'm resigned to not having a white Christmas this year, it was still fun to play in the snow for a few days in Germany.
This is my second winter coat, and I am sooo in love with this one. I've always wanted a really nice toggle coat, and I found this one second hand (but in mint mint condition) at Spittalfields Market. It's made by an old famous English duffle coat company (Gloverall), is made of thick soft wool with a great plaid lining, and features real horn toggles. I'm in love. Especially since they are selling the EXACT same coat at Urban Outfitters and John Lewis for £250. ; D ; D ; D
Other than eating loads of sausages and drinking loads of mulled wine, the time in Germany was spent driving around in my friend's awesome turquoise mini, above, and eating home-made cookies, below.

coat: Gloverall
lumberjack shirt: via a friend of my grandfather's
hat: Topshop
jeans: Winners
scarf: second hand
shoes: ancient ; D and therefore just right for clambering through slush
LOVE the coat and these photos! You look great!! :D :D

I LOVE you coat! I have a crush for duffle coats and red coats so this would be perfect for me :P I have a nice amount of winter coats but I am thinking of getting a red one, all of mine are of neutral colours like black, navy blue, grey...
ReplyDeleteI also love that beret, I am having an addiction to berets now, I just got a royal blue last weekend (my aunt bought me anyway..). Plus the plaid on plaid on plaid is genius!
I love these photos! Snow + photos is always great. Your jacket is so incredible & I can't believe it's secondhand, it looks brand new!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is one fantastic coat! What a great find. Loved seeing your Germany pictures these past few days. I'm headed there in April, and I can't wait!! Happy Holidays :)
ReplyDeleteYou certainly struck wool coat gold this year! Your Gloverall coat is a beauty. A wool toggle coat is on my list of things to track down one day, preferably in a deep, dark shade of green :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you at least got a white pre-Christmas. It looks like you had heaps and heaps of fun. Very pretty pictures, by the way. I especially like the first one.
Echoing everyones sentiments, that coat rules! and girl, is red your favorite color? Also, those Linzer cookies look so good! oh AND I'm glad you don't think I have a weird voice! It's always a trip for me to hear how some well known bloggers sound like whenever they do like a little vlog or whatever...some people sound so marble mouthed! :X
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays Emily!!

ReplyDeleteIt's really nice to read about your travel adventures, and live vicariously through you. The mini is pretty rad. The colour makes it look all vintage-y.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you just love it when you catch a good bargain, especially in form of a gorgeous red coat? Lovely photos.
I can't believe that in Germany is so much snow, unfortunately in my country I had only 3 such days. I wish you a Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you for your comment Emily! Merry Christmas! I hope your day is filled with all things wonderful and lovely :)
ReplyDeleteIf it were up to me, all of my family members would have real trees. Hehe. I can understand artificial trees for the sake of convenience, though. At least my dad hasn't jumped on that bandwagon and I hope he never does.
Merry Christmas Emily!! ♥
