festivities

After a torturous 22 hour journey I am home for Christmas! Everything is colourful and festive and bright. Familiar and favourite ornaments, such as glittering bi-planes and skiing santas, are twinkling from the tree. My sisters and I spent last night decorating sugar cookies, and much of today eating them!

our newest ornament: I bought this lovely detailed piece in the market in Bonn

I cannot wait for all that is to come: making mulled wine, viewings of A Christmas Carol and Little Dorrit, and afternoon spent making glittery star crowns, a visit to Whitehern, and just time spent with my family.

Holiday decorations and traditions are always so fun, thank you for sharing a glimpse into yours and your family's. You and your sisters definitely have some mad cookie icing skills! Pretty ornaments too, I like the bi-planes the best :)

You're home! My oh my, that tea spread looks delicious. Your family's Christmas decor is all so sweet. I always enjoy admiring holiday decorations and such. There's so much fun to be had with it!

You look so happy and radiant these photos. And festive, I might add. I especially like your bulb necklace. My mom found one this year with 3 different flashing speeds. It's a hoot.

I have a good feeling you already will, but do let every moment this holiday swell your heart. Soak in and enjoy all the family and Canada you can! Merry Christmas, Emily!
