If Friday night finds me having a drink in an atmospheric pub with a friend, it's a good start to the weekend, and one of my favourite areas in Vancouver to go out is Gastown. Gastown's a historic district by Vancouver standards--the city isn't very old though and a lot of Gastown cobbled, old-world charm was manufactured in the 70s. Nonetheless, it's a pleasant place for a Friday night, especially since the seabus is just a ten minute walk away (I have to take a 15-minute boat ride to get to the nearby suburb where I grew up). I got to spend two Fridays in a row ranting and raging and recalling with the lovely Alexa, who you may remember I visited in Lyon earlier this year...
Happy Friday everyone! Do you prefer to spend Fridays in the pub or flaked on the couch? (I think there's a lot to be said for that option too).

I'm not keen on the pub really, but I'd like to be out dancing- lindyhopping! I also like the couch though!

I'm definitely a couch potato. I guess my perfect friday night would be at home but with some of my favorite people over to have drinks and laugh at silly things!
