all this unhappiness

I wore this outfit in order to feel like I'd gotten dressed, after a particularly annoying day of thesis-writing. I know I wear this shirt too much on the blog... but I wear it even more in real life!

Anyway, this is auto-posting, I'm out of town and away from the internet for a few days. I wanted to apologize for being the world's worst blog-friend recently, for not replying to comments or emails, and generally being one of those bloggers. I'm up to my neck in thesis--the deadline's coming up really soon--and quite stressed and unhappy about some other things, and really happy about some others, like hanging out with my family again. That first picture is not at all representative of life at the moment I'm afraid... I really will try to be better soon. An enormous thank you to those of you still out there!

That shirt is quite perfect so I could see why you would be wanting to wear is a lot...as I tend to obsess over the things I love - I'm always doing the same thing with my favorite pieces. Super cute photos...loving that first pic especially. Best wishes on your thesis...sounds grueling, but I'm sure very rewarding once finished.

Ah... I think we've all been there. I was not in the best of forms towards the end of my teaching practice when I also had massive assignments to do.
I just tried to remember that I can't do everything at once and, at the end of the day, our education is always a top priority.

I am SUCH a teacher sometimes... :P

Anyway, I really like the shirt on you so feel free to continue wearing it! There will be no complaints here =]

We're still here and I think you'll find us a very understanding group. :-) Knock that thesis out of the park so you can come play in blogland again. In the meantime (if you have a few moments), you can see what I''ve been playing with in my closet: http://carriesbusynothings.blogspot.com/2011/08/dressing-outside-my-box.html

And yes, I LOVE your hair in these photos! How???

I love the 1960s flair to both your hair & outfit-- I also dig the way you tied up your blouse, I've been meaning to style a shirt in a similar way.

Hopefully you're relaxing now after all your thesis writing, I remember being crazed back in graduate school!

I can only imagine how difficult must be to right your thesis, and to think that'd be me next year, think I'll need cute shorts and pretty brogues like yours, love easy and comfy look!

Thesis writing can be the most frustrating experience! But I am sure that the writing will come together quite nicely, even if there is some screaming and yelling along the way. I hope you enjoyed your time with your family. And you are looking ever so lovely as always! xx

Great casual outfit :) I love this shirt, looks so versatile!
Good luck with your thesis writing...deadlines are so stressful -_- right now I'm studying for some exams I'll have in september (and then I'm going to write my thesis) so I can understand what you're feeling.

I know the feeling of being all stressed out over deadlines. It will be better when it is over and you can relax again. Wish you luck anyway!

That shirt btw, is one of the few shirts I have seen that works all the time. Like it was made for you. :)

Well you certainly have a good excuse to MIA for a bit! Good luck on finishing your thesis, it sounds so interesting. I think even if everything else was perfect in life- the existence of a thesis writing can drive you crazy on its own!Seeing your family though can be an antidote :)
