I wish this were Catalan summer instead, but the weather is being a bit crazy around here for June. The perpetual raincloud that follows me around because it knows I was raised in Vancouver and have therefore seen enough rain to last a lifetime has caught up to me. But this was a beautiful day!
After sighing in this post that all I wanted this summer were simple dresses and that I didn't have any, I immediately realized that I have all sorts of simple dresses. Such as this pretty little number that has been languishing all winter in my closet waiting for the blossoms. It's amazing how easy it is to forget what we have, dazzled by the ever expanding number of things we could have and want. I think I'll be living in this and my other simple dresses this summer. At least, I will if the forecasted clouds and thunder storms take a hike!

It is actually very warm in London right now, last week's crappy weather is gone and sunshine arrived yay! Just in time for me to leave -.- I'll try and enjoy it tomorrow though.

@Raquel: It's not really my basket, I just found it in the flat. And that's a gingham blouse inside, hehe.
It's nice to be able to enjoy the weather after non stop rains. Your dress is so pretty, very feminine and minimal. This reminds me.... I have a small bag of 50s simple day dresses I need to get dry cleaned....

It is funny how we forget what we have in our own closet. With all this wedding stuff. I have had to really get serious about saving and I think one thing that really helps is to actually write up an inventory of all the dresses you have with a description. Kind of Type A but you won't leave anything out. You look so lovely in pink. Happy Weekend and sunny days ahead.

These are such beautiful photos, what lovely flowers. Also good find on the basket. I always think found objects and also very good bargains, seem extra special compared to things that cost full price.
whenever the weather gets hot I feel like such a bad styleblogger, because all I want to wear is simple little dresses. But I love seeing other people in them and don't think it's boring so FEH!

These are really pretty pictures, Emily! And pink is such a nice color on you. My mom is always after me to wear pink and nearly everything she gifts me is pink in some capacity.
I have been rediscovering a lot of things lately that I've forgotten about. It's prompted me to do another closet purge and really decide what's a keeper and what isn't.

I totally agree. It's a wonderful thing to realize how much you actually have, and focus on that rather than all the things you want. That dress is simply adorable! I love the pale pink color and, of course those beautiful purple flowers in the background :)

Thanks for your advice re:cameras. I think I want to dslr for all the other stuff it can do too... but the size and weight area pretty serious draw back. It is nice to know I might be able to find a compact that can do some of that too. :)
