islander
I could really get used to living on an island. Actually, the weather was pretty much the same as Barcelona, so I think it was less the tropical feeling and more the holiday feeling that was making me happy in Menorca! Either way, I had that contented glow (having survived my horse allergy attack the night before) as we wandered around the little town we stayed in. Ferreries isn't a big deal of a town, but it was nicely local and non-touristy. We spent out time trying to decipher the accent (they speak Catalan on Menorca but there are lots of different words and a really strong accent and I was just basically confused the whole time--also, all locals seemed to always give directions starting with "go to the No Entrance sign," followed by confusing their rights and lefts--not sure what was up with that), and eating amazing seafood at the town's one restaurant that wasn't a bar!

Ha! Those directions sound interesting...sounds like a lovely place to visit, though! Those florals complement the scenery perfectly :)

I am in love with that last photo my the peeling green shutter! Your dress, sunnies, and sandals are all perfect together.
You should definitely post more pictures of the island if you have them, I have to satisfy my wanderlust vicariously through blogs like yours for right now ;)
I love everything : location, fruity dress, wooden sandals and flamingo bag!
such a fab little dress! Im totally one of those people who give terrible directions. I usually try to enlist the help of another passerby to clarify my directions :)
That place totally needs more bloggers!
Beautiful photos! The language problems sound similar to the patois I've heard spoken in the Caribbean. I can always understand just enough of it to grow frustrated that I can't understand all of it.
i love the dresses you wore during your holiday. that tote bag is so sweet. isn't funny asking for directions? it's sort of a trip because no one ever says, i don't know.
Where is that lovely dress from?
@Claire: from Mango, in last year's sales!
This sounds like such an idyllic holiday! I love confusing locals..very pretty dress too xx
i think i will turn into a photophobic when I will finally see the beach this year..i feel the summer never came around here... so glad you had a nice holiday - i saw previous post..the colour of the sea is AMAZING!! :)
I love the first and last photos, gorgeous travel pic! And the dress is just theerfect putfit for the weather over there, amazing! Looks like you are having so much fun! Enjoy! :)
Certainly sounds confusing! I love those sandals, they have holiday adventures written all over them.
Such a pretty print on the dress, perfect choice for a nice summers day. I like how you paired it with the red accessories too

the dress is the most beautiful thing i've seen in a long time!
love your outfit and the old building in the last pic, very much the type of building I imagine when picturing little Mediterranean towns. Did you get new wedges btw? mmm what I could go for some good fresh seafood right now.
