a day out in toronto
A perfect summer day in Toronto! I hardly know this city at all; when you're from Vancouver, a ticket to Toronto can sometimes cost as much as a ticket to Europe, so I always tended to go further afield. Now that my parents are semi-based in Hamilton, I'm really enjoying properly exploring parts of the country I was only vaguely familiar with before. In the case of Toronto though, it wasn't so much exploring as meeting up with loads of friends I hadn't seen for years. Half of my Vancouver friends seem to have moved here, and when you add my favourite cousins into the mix... well, I kind of want to move here myself (especially after everyone was putting on the pressure all day).
We didn't see much of Toronto, just had coffee and lunch and dinner and hung out with my baby cousins and my friend's adorable new puppy, but I had the biggest, cheesiest grin on my face by the the time I staggered back onto the bus at 11 pm. It seems like an amazing city; I'm sure I'll be back!
Quality sister time

Cute animal print, and you look so pretty with longer hair.
Toronto seems like a pretty cool city. I have some friends here in Haiti who are from Toronto. I really like that you're growing you're hair out too. It looks great. Nothing like quality time with family and friends. Enjoy it. I love that you throw on those cute sneakers with your dresses; I need to try that.
I love that dress, such a perfect print! :D And that doggy is adorable! :)
I know what you mean about exploring your own country, I really need to get out there and see more of the US...

I fell head over heels in love with Toronto when I was in Canada 2 years ago. It feels far more 'cosmopolitan' and vaguely New Yorkish compared to Montreal (where I spent most of my time). The photos looks stunning and it sounds like you had an amazing time!

@Nina: Interesting! I've never been to Montreal, but I alsways hear amazing things about it, so it's right up there on the list. Glad to hear Toronto measures up though. :)
what fun places to explore....definitely looks like toronto has it's own vibe....what fun places for pictures.

I love the street art in your backdrops and I love your leopard dress!
Is this your older or younger sister? I love all the street art and the vivid colors.

aww so cute your dog! and you are very pretty (so do your sister)
The last time I went to Toronto was four years ago... Didn't stay long but had a great time!
In 10 days I'm finally going back to Canada
Do you have any insider tips for Vancouver?
Hmmm, it's been so long since I was there I hardly know any more. Granville Island isn't exactly an insider tip, but it's one of my favourite places. Commercial Drive and Main Street are two nice neighbourhoods that Vancouverites love with lots of resaurants and cute shops.
If you like theatre, it's awesome to see a Shakespeare play in the park at the Bard on the Beach festival. Got to book in advance though!
This looks wonderful! It must be great to reconnect with people after a long time and in a new city. My heart would break leaving that puppy though OMYGOSH so cute.
Hah, that ''no parking'' mural is great! And taking in a new city with dear family and good friends sounds like the way to go :)
