On this particular day in Montreal, it rained heavily in the morning. I even sat out on the back (covered) porch with my cup of coffee and watched it come down. There's nothing like a good summer rain, by which I mean, when it's been generally warm and sunny, but a day comes along in which it just buckets down. These are moments in which the coziness of winter in briefly recaptured, without the discomfort, when you can slump back and enjoy the shining bricks and dripping railings.

Afterwards it stopped raining but stayed overcast and humid, and I dressed for summertime, and went with my friends to eat really excellent dumpling in Chinatown.

Hehe, yeah, this is one of my all-time favourite summer things! I want to learn to sew so I can make myself more in all different fabrics... :D

I know exactly the kind of day you are describing. We had a MONTH of them here. And the outfit--its perfect for humidity.

@Penny: the bangs are new, but the rest is just "my hair on humidity."

Our beloved Nadinoo is back with an amazing playsuit and it made me remember Lady in Satin party and you, my photographer and beautiful girl....
I really had fun that day... and a Polaroid shows it.

I really love these pictures...the colour, the whole feel of humidity and your adorable outfit! It has mainly just made me hungry for dumplings!
Thanks for your comment, things have not been easy still :( how have you been? Even blog life post break up with photos etc and confidence is really difficult but I'm getting there! xox

Annie: grrrr, I know! Kallie emailled me photos, and I immediately went and ironed my Nadinoo dress, hehe. We'll have lots more fun this winter.

P.S. Joan is a better photography than that sleazy guy you had at the Lady in Satin event!

iron???? can you iron my stuff too? not stuff, my beloved two shirts that I tried to repair (I'm arm short) myself after my sewing course and they were too shooooort.... hahahahahahah
Did you see her new yellow dress? is soooo made for you!
Joan says that the "humidity" comment is for his photography skills :-PPP
OMG, I went back to Lady in Satin photos and the picture of Carla, Moni and me outside, me short, Carla as a giant flying head.... amazing!
