in a kingdom by the sea

I don't know when finding time to post became so impossible. Menorca feels like a year ago (it was two weeks ago). The beach the second day didn't have quite that turquoise cove perfection of the first one; it was for a different type of day. One of strolling through the surf, kicking up spray. Of eating peaches and probably a bit of sand. Of leaping across the scalding ground to sink your feet into cool silty water. And of slathering on SPF 50 every twenty minutes!

This makes me want to hit the beach asap with bright blue waters! I totally understand about the slathering sunblock on - I try to put on more than my skin can absorb haha x

I loved your description of the day, you're a great writer! Sounds like a perfect day & love these pictures with the crystal clear water and your adorable 50s summer outfit and great milkmaid braids. Oh how I've missed you & your blog! Finding the time to blog/check blogs has somehow become impossible lately as well. Glad to see you're enjoying your summer!

My favorite part of going to the beach is dancing along the shore like a child, so I love how carefree and joyful you look in these photos! Plus, your outfit is everything I love for summer--highwaisted shorts, sun-bleached stripes, and easiness.

@Christy: And don't forget bare feet! :D
