i'm walking on sunshine

Photobucket

I've been obsessed with this lobster for years...
Photobucket

Well, I was walking on sunshine. One silly goal I set myself for the blog is to actually post photos in the month in which they were taken. So here I'm sneaking in on January 31st with photos that were taken on January 10th--oops. On the other hand, look at how amaaaazing the weather was on January 10th, the day I left Barcelona. We went on a bike ride down along the seawall by the beach, turned our pasty faces up to the sunshine, and finally enjoyed a coffee down on the boardwalk. A €4 coffee---eek!

I love this outfit. It's not typically "blogworthy," and I don't expect anyone to be rushing off inspired, but it's 100% Emily, and mostly composed of things I owned before I'd heard of fashion blogs. Plus, pretty much perfect for a bike ride on a sunny day...

I'm off back to Barcelona in a week and a half, therefore perpetuating the myth on my blog that I live there. Some London pictures coming in the meantime though!

P.S. Thanks so much for all the great comments on yesterday's post. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who struggles with the yea-fashion-nay-consumerism dilemma. : )

No shoes, albeit briefly, on January 10th!

These photos are so fun. Wow, you had some great weather. So lucky you're heading back there. My fiance has been to Barcelona and loves it, I haven't been yet. Will surely live vicariously through you. Much love...

Oh, I love how bright and fun this outfit is! I may just have to create an outfit like this soon to beat the gray winter blues I've been dealing with all January!

I actually find this outfit very fashionable- I adore the bright shirt with the red trousers! I think the best part about fashion is not taking yourself too seriously! xo Emily

I love the many colors in the top and the rocking horse necklace. I'm wondering if a person can find Campers in the states--I've found myself admiring different styles by that brand.

Probably won't see any photos of London until you're in Barcelona...just keeping your readers on their toes.

Nice outfit! I'm jealous of the scenery. I've never tried eating lobster, but it's something I hope to try one day.

Oh Barceloneta??? :D

Well the outfit is Emily, and of course stylish and blog worthy! In fact I'm putting the picture with no shoes on my tumblr right away. Speaking of that! Be sure to tell me when you create yours so I can follow! I'm addicted to mine, posting whatever inspires me, and also stalking other inspiration tumblr logs as well haha.

Will you be at Barcelona for too long? Probably you'll be there when I arrive to London.

PS: I was almost buying those trousers the other day (they were only €10 on sale) but I chose some blue jeans, that actually fit me! That's a win.

I love this post for a bunch of reasons:

1.) I have a weird fascination with lobsters.

2.) I love how you mixed that crazy colored blouse with those red paints. I never would have thought to do that, but I love it so much.

3.) BOW BELT!

4.) You're cute.

The end. I want to come be your sassy traveling companion. Thinkaboutit.

The color in your 100% Emily outfit is infectious! It makes me never want to look at greys and browns again. I'd say it's absolutely blogworthy, but I can relate to where you're coming from. I wasn't all that sure the all-Emily outfit I shared last week was blogworthy, but came to the realization that that doesn't matter. It was composed of items and styles I've loved for years and was a true reflection of me (not like other outfits aren't, but you get my drift).

Ah, that lobster sculpture is great! Haha. And Barcelona again? You're probably bursting with excitement at the prospect of bare feet in February! :)

I'm pretty sure that beautiful top is ABSOLUTELY blogworthy!!! You look great.

Oh it looks absolutely glorious there! And you're going back so soon, you lucky thing! :) Your outfit IS blogworthy, especially if you say its a typical you outfit! I like seeing what blogger's wear whether its dressed up or down...simple, comfy outfits are often the best. I love the colours you've put together here :)

I've also just realised I've been massively rude & not replied to a question you asked me about full length outfit shots & why I don't do them anymore. I suppose basically its easier to do several that show detail, as I find it harder to get a good full length shot & also I don't have to show my face if I don't feel photogenic! I'll probably change it up though as I go along though for a bit of variety.

Thanks for your lovely comment as always :) And I agree, its blimmin' freezing at the moment, I don't blame you for not venturing outside!!

Hey, I think it's inspiring! You have a great eye for fun details like the little bow on your belt that keeps things fun and interesting. Looks like some killer weather you have going on!
