helmet or shield anyone?

Saturday was an unexpectedly busy sort of day. In the morning there was a reunion with an old friend from Mexico for coffee (erm, although as you can see, I was already on to the stronger stuff) ; D and the day continued at a break-neck pace from there. Most of these pictures were taken at the Festes d'Hostafrancs, a little neighbourhood I know quite well which lets its inner Roman citizen out at every festive opportunity.

Later in the evening there was a nice dinner in celebration of my upcoming birthday, and then an evening out in Barcelona to send off a friend, and unexpectedly, to wish a happy birthday to another lovely lady.

I wore a simple and underrated dress for two days straight, as you do. I tried to remember to brush my hair periodically throughout this time. : )

You look rather glam here, love the dress! Or maybe it's the lack of hair brushing? ;) glad you're having fun back in Barcelona xx

Looks like so much fun! I love those days when you wear the same thing over again just because it's easiest.

Your mom must be quite the fashionista herself, everything you have from her is always so cute. Lovely colors on that dress, (certainly acceptable to wear it in a row!), great combo with the steve maddens too. I love the picture of the bar alleyway, reminds me of my days in Spain.

almost forgot- funny you mention the hair-brushing because I was thinking how pretty your hair looks in all of these pictures!

To be fair everyone... I was drinking beer at 11:30 or something. I'd already been out for my coffee and two walks by that time, so it seemed reasonable to start drinking. True, I hadn't eaten much yet, but never mind. ; D

These pictures remind me of the summer five years ago when I was in Germany and we celebrated a friend's birthday at a restaurant outside. We were chatting and laughing but apparently weren't aware of how loud we were because someone living across the street called the police and we were forced to go inside the restaurant. But then again, it WAS nearly one in the morning, so I can't blame them :)

Emily, I completely adore your dress. Did you do some wardrobe swapping while you were home? Also, I second Heather's comment about the colors and stripes being very chic - yes!

Your street & bunting photo is beautiful. I like it a lot.

Looks like an incredible place to be going to and visit, if my next travel was not to Finland, I would certainly go to Barcelona instead, it looks so charming and unique. Like the mediveal things especially, as the history neard I am. And finally, such an adorable dress, which I could wear those here, but it is way to cold for that!

I want this dress, and I think I would also like to borrow your life while I'm at it, because you look like you're having BUNCHES of fun ;)
