ruby slippers laughs with broken eyes!

Photobucket

I was featured by the sweet lovely Amber Rose on her blog Laughing with Broken Eyes. She and I started blogging around the same time and I've loved reading her heartfelt reflections on life since the beginning. If you're interested in learning more about the method behind the madness at Ruby Slipper Journeys, head here! Thanks so much, Amber Rose!

There was brilliant sunshine this morning, so I thought I'd shake up the Barcelona pictures that are still to come a bit with a snapshot of London. Obviously the sun took off as soon as I got outdoors so here's a snapshot of my garden wall instead, and me looking towards the gathering stormclouds. Eek!

dress: French Connection (charity shop)
blouse: Three Feathers Vintage
shoes: Calvin Klein from Winners

Congrats on the feature, Emily!

How could anyone let this dress go? I'm glad they did for your sake because it looks amazing on you! I love how you've layered it with your red gingham blouse. It will also make for a great warmer weather dress with the square neckline and those cute little cap sleeves.

P.S. Yes, the vest is corduroy :)

I just went to check out your lovely interview! Thanks for listing me as one of your favorite blogs :)

"I'm one of those people with no soul who isn't that into music" -- amen, again. I've never been able to keep up with all of the "amazing" bands out there. I enjoy listening to music on occasion (and I love to dance) but I would rather read a book or lose myself in my own thoughts than spend hours (like my boyfriend does) on pandora discovering new bands.

aw my girl! Thanks for the shout out on Miss Amber's blog. And I so agree about what you said in regards to traveling somewhere and realizing that to the people that live there it's just there daily day to day scene but to a visitor it could seriously be the most beautiful place in the world and how is everyone being so casual about the whole thing?!?

Lovely outfit! I always get excited to find something new (like French Connection) in a charity shop. I'm actually wearing a Warehouse dress today, which was £5 in a charity shop.

Oh I just read the whole interview, congrats Emily!

I love that dress, especially combined with that blouse.
Thanks for the tip of the trench coat :) I think I'll be taking them both if I can squeeze them into my suitcase!

I am enjoying some sunny and warm weather right now (I just got to Madeira on Sunday) trying to soak up these 21ºC before I leave to London!

Emily,

This outfit is so darling in the way that it reminds me of prep school and girl guides back home, in a very sweet and non fussy way. These colours are a wonderful combination and each item is beautiful in its own right. :)

I'm actually quite surprised to meet another blogger who does not have that many clothes...a suitcase full is a good achievement...even if it's a bit better than that. You have actually inspired me to do a post on how I select and go about creating my wardrobe following the colour palette. Let's see how everything that makes sense in my head looks on type. :)

Congratulations on the feature :) I would love to know more about the method behind your madness..

Look forward to hearing from you

Love
