a quick hi

Photobucket

Just a quick hello today! I know that there are some new people who have stopped by, largely due to NRIGirl's feature on me. I really enjoyed doing this one, as NRIGirl doesn't have a fashion blog, and her interview line-up was incredibly diverse. So thanks again NRIGirl! I found some charming new blogs through it too... and I'll be stopping in to say hi to you all when life calms down a little. At the moment things are a little hectic: I have a friend visiting, and three presentations and a paper due in the next two weeks. Typical end of term stuff, but somehow is always sneaks up and surprises me...

I took these pictures the other week when I overcame my phobio of being in public with my tripod just long enough to give it a whirl. The weather was much too nice to waste, after all! So if there's a slightly strained look in my eyes, it's that "I'm-not-photographing-myself-I'm-just-scoping-the-picture-I-intend-to-take" glare. I think they turned out rather well for all that, except for the shadow of the tripod... doh!

haha...awww - public photography. Ian took the photos for my last post in front of a whole bunch of little league temas+parents in the park. It was a bit odd!

Love these shoes!!

Que lindas fotografías, y no te preocupes por la sombra del trípode, casi ni se nota ;)
Yo suelo ser muy tímida en público, no me gusta que me vean mientras me fotografio :(

Me encanta el outfit!
Nos vemos!

Emily I just read your interview. It was really great reading more about you. I'm definitely going to take some time to go back into the archives and read your posts. This outfit is so cute. That floral top is super. You have an amazing spirit lady. Good luck on your projects and hope you'll get into some adventuring when all is said and done.

These pictures did turn out really nice, I give you major props for taking them with your tripod, it can be so odd sometimes when people are staring!

Congrats on the feature and good luck with the end of semester craziness!

Hello! Great pics and outfit as usual!! I'm still kind of shy of taking pics in public! I love your shoes and floaty skirt, so romantic! Good luck with your end of term my dear!

What an interesting interview. Did you teach english in Barcelona? Good ocupation. There are a lot of people trying to learn English in this Mediterranean City. And now, I'm going to write Spanish to finish. Me encata tu blusa floreada, cada uno de sus detalles incluidos los bordados. Que le vamos a hacer. Tengo esa debilidad por las blusas vestidas con el buen gusto que tu tienes. :-|

You look so pretty! What an awesome top! Good luck with all your mid-terms things. Shoot me an email if you're still interested in grabbing coffee the end of next week. ^_^

Your dress and shirt make for the loveliest combination. I really like it.

I'm also very hesitant to take my photos in public. I'm usually so hurried that I never end up getting the photos I see in my mind's eye.

Enjoy the time with your visiting friend and good luck with the work load!

Man, I wish I could get over my phobia of setting up the tripod and photographing myself. I'm getting better at posing for other people in public, but the tripod just seems like too much. I'm glad you ventured out, though, because these pictures are very nice! And your outfit is lovely, too. The tights look so cosy. I have a similar pair, but they're getting pretty old and gross...

Haha, I don't even have a tripod. I have to ask the boyfriend to take photos of me, which usually ends in giggles and very few pictures of my outfit. Oh well!

I think you did a good job with your photos :D Cute outfit!

Beautiful dress - lace piping is so irresistable and the print is gorgeous too :)

I am all too familiar with the old "I am only a placeholder. I am not taking pics of me. me. me." :D

Happy Friday!

these photos are so lovely--definitely worth braving the funny looks of passersby (i admit i am not there yet). the blouse is gorgeous.

i don't play piano at all but i really want to.. my secret dream is to be a jazz singer in a smoky lounge, so i want to try to learn to play some of my favorites. i used to play violin but was never inspired to practice, same with guitar (though i'm at least decent at that).

Hi!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog! Caitlin (from Wakinglife) introduced me to your blog back when I was first getting into the blogworld and I love your outfits and commentaries. Skinny jeans could and probably should have also joined my rant, I'm drawing the line at jeggings however :) (at least for now...)

Haha! You pretend to be planning a picture not of yourself, too!? :D I do that allll the time!

What a cute outfit. I really love your shirt - and skirt - and shoes. <3 Adorable.

Also, I wanted to thank you for the very sweet comment you left on my sister's guest post. I don't know if you read a couple weeks ago when I wrote a bit about her when I posted Fifteen for Music Monday, but we're not actually related. (One of these days I'll get around to writing a proper entry about how we are sisters. :-P) But the bottom line is we aren't actually related, and I'm really proud that she lets me call her my sister. I love bragging about her, and a compliment to her makes me smile then ten about me. So thanks. Also, she really liked it, too. :)

And again, lovely outfit. <3
