do you like my Look?!

look 2

soft

Before I read blogs I probably would never have thought of owning another pair of floral shorts (after all the ones I had as a kid). In recent years I've been a bit anti-shorts, in favour of skirts and dresses, and even a bit anti-floral. I'm pretty girly in my clothes, but not particularly in my personality, so I've always drawn some kind of wobbly, frequently-crossed line at floral prints. It seems that this summer is the summer to break all rules, thanks to seeing both shorts and florals done really well on many blogs. And I have to say, if I'm going to make an exception, these shorts were well worth making one for!

And a big thank you to Guadalajara for the weather, flowers, and graffiti!

The weather is so hot these days in Guadalajara, I'm also with dresses, skirts and shorts all the time. I love your shorts ;)

I'm from Aguascalientes, a city 2 hours ago from Guadalajara... I've been living here for 10 years now.

These shorts are absolutely perfect for someone on-the fence, so to say, about floral prints. The print and color scheme is very soft and subdued. They're pretty and certainly eye-catching, but not in an over the top kind of way. I've always been a big fan of nearly anything and everything floral, but have yet to venture into the realm of floral shorts. Whenever I encounter them I'm either reminded of pajamas or think the print is better suited for something like a dress or blouse. I'd buy these floral shorts in a heartbeat, though. They're just right!

What a quaint little area behind you in these photos. It looks like the perfect spot for a morning or evening stroll.

RE: Have you ever been anywhere in the States? I love living in such a vast country and have dreamed of exploring every nook and cranny. In turn, I've also longed to visit Canada. It's crazy that I've never been, especially since I live within 4 hours of the border. What I'd really like to do is spend time exploring the Atlantic Provinces and take the Rocky Mountaineer through the Canadian Rockies.

Yellowed paperbacks are quite under appreciated, I think. My entire Jane Austen collection, save for one, consists solely of old paperbacks. They're such charming and funny little things, withstanding time and being roughed up, yet somehow managing to hang on for another person to enjoy.

Your shorts are way too cute! :) And I love those shoes, as well. I wish I could find some white shoes that don't look like slippers from far away like youuuuu has. * 3*

Yes, I like your look! The shorts are cute! Love the top as well. I am a big fan of tops like that and realised last night that I own quite a few that are similar to yours. They're comfy and pretty. Perfect for warmer weather.

Those are very cute. Blogs definitely wear down my resistence to things; you see something enough and done well and eventually you start to contemplate it for yourself!

It's cool that you're stretching yourself to wear things you might not have before. Especially because you look great. That necklace is really lovely and I'm super impressed that you MADE it! Nice work.

Haha maybe I shouldn't even be wearing floral shorts anymore but oh well, I see still them around on some blogs this summer & there was no way I'd pay the ridiculous prices in Latin America last summer or before! I totally know what you mean about clothing though, I definitely have historically avoided pink for the same reason! I get really annoyed sometimes when people think I'm super girly because of my clothes but eh, we do it to ourselves I guess!
